Supported platforms:
- Any iOS device with iOS 12+;
- Any Android device with Android 7+ and Google Services in 3D mode;
- Android devices listed at https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices in AR mode.
As for now, AR content is only available in our mobile app, so the course shouldn’t require AR support to pass it. AR should be used to enhance user and learner experience.
3D models for AR content shouldn’t be big or complex.
How steps with AR content are labeled
In our mobile app AR content is labeled with a specific icon.
How to add AR content
- Save your 3D model in glTF;
- Convert your model from glTF to usdz with Reality Converter or another tool;
- Generate a preview image for your model in any way convenient for you;
You should have the following set of files: - Upload your model files to any place convenient to you (for example, GitHub repository);
In step editor, go to the step’s source code editor mode (‘source’ button).
Add the following code:
<model-viewer
src="{ссылка на модель в формате glTF}"
ios-src="{ссылка на модель в формате usdz}"
thumbnail="{ссылка на превью картинку для модели}">
</model-viewer> - Here’s what the step should look on iOS
And on Android:
